The course is one of the UK’s longest-established business programmes and has been designed to teach students the analytical skills needed for success in a number of business roles.
The course content has been developed with input from public and private organisations, professional bodies and academics; the resulting qualification supports students in their transition from a Higher National Diploma (or equivalent) to bachelor’s degree level study.
UKCBC offers this programme as part of a franchise partnership with the University of West London (UWL). Students are expected to fulfil all the admission requirements prescribed by UWL, and admissions are subject to approval by UWL. Students are expected to adhere to the relevant rules and regulations of UWL, in addition to the regulations of UKCBC. In addition to various study support and facilities provided by UKCBC, Students can benefit from the various facilities and support provided by UWL.

Course Entry Requirements
As a potential student of the BA (Hons) Business Studies (top-up), you will be expected to have an interest in business and enterprise, be able to demonstrate your motivation for the subject, and have one or more of the following academic qualifications in order to join:
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant subject, or
- EduQual Diploma in a relevant subject (SCQF Level 8), or
- A Diploma of Higher Education, or
- A Foundation Degree, or
- Any level 5 qualification having 240 credits from the UK, with an overall score of ‘Merit’ (if the qualification is an overall ‘Pass’, at least one-year work experience is required)
