Binoy Thomas
Chief Executive Officer
Binoy Thomas has served as Chief Executive Officer of UKCBC since 2021, providing strategic leadership and driving the institution’s continued growth, innovation, and commitment to widening access to higher education.
With more than 30 years of executive leadership experience, Binoy has held senior positions within leading international financial institutions, including HDFC Life and ICICI Bank, where he led large-scale operations and business transformation initiatives.
Alongside his corporate career, Binoy has maintained a longstanding commitment to education and social impact through his involvement with the Gregorian Trust, a charitable organisation dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for underserved communities.
His leadership combines commercial expertise with a strong passion for educational advancement and student success.
Phillip Stone
Chief Operating Officer
Phillip Stone leads the operational delivery of UKCBC’s Strategy 2030 through clear priorities, effective systems, and accountable performance.
He brings senior experience across education operations, academic partnerships, business development, quality assurance, governance, and organisational change, shaped by a career rooted in teaching, student support, innovative curriculum development, creative enterprise, and widening opportunity.
Phillip is known for his practical leadership style and his focus on accountability, staff growth, student success, and long-lasting, trusted partnerships.
His work ensures that UKCBC’s ambitions are supported by the operational clarity, professional standards, and delivery discipline needed to grow responsibly and deliver lasting impact.
Stuart Coussins
Chief Academic Officer
Stuart Coussins is a senior higher education leader with over 15 years of experience in academic governance, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and institutional improvement.
He has held executive leadership roles across further and higher education, leading initiatives in governance reform, curriculum innovation, quality enhancement, and student success.
Driven by a student-centred approach, Stuart believes that governance and strategic decision-making should always focus on improving the student experience, outcomes, and opportunities for learners from all backgrounds.
His expertise includes academic governance, risk management, partnership development, regulatory compliance, and organisational transformation.
