The Foundation Year of the BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care programme is designed to provide essential skills and knowledge for success in higher education and beyond. It introduces core subject principles through a mix of foundational modules and supportive tutorials. The Foundation Year builds students’ confidence, academic skills, and familiarity with higher education. This preparatory year ensures that all students, regardless of their previous academic background, are well-prepared to start the full BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care degree.

Students are expected to fulfil all the admission requirements prescribed by UOW, and admissions are subject to final approval by UOW. Students are expected to adhere to the relevant rules and regulations of UOW, in addition to the regulations of UKCBC.
